Pi Digits Contest
This year, the Pi Digits Contest will be held on March 13th at Roosevelt and March 14th at Cherry Hill. This is an annual tradition which students from across the country and globe participate in to honor and celebrate all things mathematical! If you like a challenge and are good at memorizing digits, take the challenge and try to see how many digits of Pi that you can remember! The contest is run by the 6th graders.

Cycle THREE:
March MATHness actually overlaps into cycle 3 a little bit, so all 5th and 6th grade classes will continue working on the daily math fun facts, the weekly contest questions and prepping for the Family Math Carnival. We will begin new projects and work at the end of March.
Cycle TWO:
Cycle two is all about our month of math fun called March MATHness! During January and February, we will be preparing for March MATHness. Check each grade's page for more specific information about what they will each be doing.
6th grade Math CREATE Field trip - Date set
The 6th grade Math CREATE students will again be visiting the National Museum of Math in NYC, also known as MoMath. The trip will occur on May 30th. More information and permission slips will be distributed to 6th grade.
Family Math Carnival
Please plan on attending the 3rd annual Family Math Carnival Night hosted by the 6th grade Math CREATE classes. It's math fun for ALL grades and their families!!!

Math CREATE classes will meet for all 3 cycles this year. For cycle 1, each grade is working on a Financial Literacy Unit, but with different activities and lessons for each grade. Please check out the grade specific tabs on this web page to learn more.

Fun math activities outside of school - Check out MoMath in NYC!
MoMath is the National Museum of Mathematics, located right in our own backyard in NYC. They constantly offer exciting events like book clubs, guest lecturers and fun for the whole family. We are planning to take our 6th grade Math CREATE students there again this spring. For more information, check out their website.
